Description
No. 65 on Main Street is a house built in 1778. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with two red brick gable stacks and dentil eaves. The building is two and a half storeys tall and has three bays. The central doorway has a panelled door with an overlight, a panelled reveal, a reeded surround, and two brackets supporting a hood. On either side of the doorway are single tripartite glazing bar cross casements set under segmental arches. Above the doorway are two tripartite glazing bar cross casements with lead glazing bars, along with single central narrow glazing bar casements that also have some lead glazing bars, all under segmental arches. At the top, there are two glazing bar tripartite Yorkshire sashes, with the one on the right featuring some lead glazing bars and a single central small narrow recessed panel. The left gable is inscribed with "E.S. 1778."
