Description

This house and consulting rooms/office, likely originally a farmhouse, dates to 1789. It is constructed of red brick with a Welsh slate roof and brick end stacks, the stack on the right side being truncated. The building has two storeys and features three two-over-two sash windows on each floor. On the ground floor, from the left, is a four-panelled door, followed by a two-over-two sash window, then a four-panelled door, potentially within an original doorcase flanked by pilasters. Immediately to the right of this door is a shop window dating from around 1900, with its cornice extending over the doorcase. To the right again is a further shop window from the same period. Above the left-centre door is a slate tablet inscribed 'D.S.S. 1789' and a county fire mark. A two-storey wing extends to the rear.
