Description

The War Memorial at Sileby Memorial Park was constructed around 1920 and is made of stone. It features a pedestal with a wide, slightly tapering block on top, which has a cornice and a carved wreath just below the summit. The memorial stands approximately 4 meters high and includes slate plaques inscribed with the names of those who fell in both World Wars. Low walls curve forward from either end to piers, which have volutes and sections of low walling on their inner sides. Between these elements are three wide convex steps.
