Description

The war memorial in Cossington, dating from around 1920, features a square stone pedestal with an inscription, set on a plinth that forms two steps all around. From the pedestal rises a tapering shaft that culminates in a cross, with arms connected by curving pieces of stone carved to resemble a wreath. A reversed sword is carved on the front of the memorial. This structure is included for its group value.
