Description

Corner Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage situated on Station Road in Thurcaston. The exterior is rendered brick with a plinth of granite and slate rubble stone, and features brick dentilled eaves. The roof is slate, with end stacks and a central ridge stack to a rear wing. The main façade has two stories and three windows, arranged as an eight-pane fixed light above a two-light casement, a two-light sliding sash above a matching casement, a doorway, and a further two-light sliding sash above a matching casement. A further one and two-light casement are found on the left end of a two-storey wing projecting to the rear. Inside, there are two inglenooks, each with a hood and a chamfered beam. A timber-framed cross wall is also visible.
