Description
No. 1 Town Green Street, which also includes No. 55 North Street, is a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from whitewashed brick with a granite rubble stone plinth, a brick band, and nogged eaves. The cottages have a 20th-century corrugated tile roof with a brick ridge and left end stacks. The building is two storeys high and features two 3/3 sash windows. There is a central seven-panelled door, with the top three panels glazed, accessed by three steps. The right end of the building has a 20th-century window within the original opening on both floors. Cambered lintels are present throughout. There is a door to No. 55 located at the rear. The cottages are included in the listing for their group value.
