Description

The War Memorial in Rothley, dating from around 1920, is constructed from granite stone and slate. It features a rusticated square pedestal sitting on a stepped plinth, with a rectangular block above that is topped by a short obelisk. Inscribed tablets on the block and pedestal commemorate the names of those who fell in both World Wars. Surrounding the memorial are low stone walls made of granite rubble stone, capped with stone coping.
