Description

The war memorial, located on the north side of Hemel Hempstead Road in Redbourn Common, was built around 1919. It features a slender granite obelisk set on a three-tiered plinth. The upper tier has names inscribed in metal, while the middle tier includes a later inscription commemorating World War II. The memorial is enclosed by a square arrangement of Portland stone piers that are flanked by iron railings.
