Description

This is an early 19th century timber-frame farmhouse. It is located on the south side of Redbourn Common, Redbourn, along Hemel Hempstead Road. The walls are roughcast, with a weatherboarded gable end facing east. The roof is covered in plain tiles and features internal chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high. There are three 20th-century casement windows in the original window openings. The central entrance has a moulded wooden frame, shaped brackets, and an open pediment hood, leading to a four-panel flush door with two glazed panels. Inside, the original through passage and a half-glazed back door remain. A staircase is located to the left. 19th-century extensions are present at the rear, and a 20th-century extension is located to the west.
