Description

The war memorial in Newton dates from around 1920 and is made of rusticated granite. It features a whitewashed base that supports a tapering plinth, which is inscribed with the names of those who fell in both World Wars. At the top, there is a Celtic cross. This memorial is part of a notable group of historic buildings surrounding Newton Green.
