Description
26 The Nook is a house built in 1774, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick, rendered, and has a concrete tile roof. It features a 20th-century plinth, with rendered first floor and eaves bands. The house has a single external gable and a single ridge stack. It is two storeys high and has two bays.
The front of the house has a 20th-century close boarded door on the left, with two bricks above it inscribed 'I Biggs J Biggs 1774'. To the right, there are two 19th-century three-light casement windows. Above these, there are two similar casement windows. All of these openings have segmental heads. At the rear, there is a 20th-century lean-to addition that is also two storeys high.
