Description

No. 3 The Nook is an early 19th-century house constructed from coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. It features a 20th-century concrete tile roof and a stone gable end stack at the rear. The building stands three storeys high and consists of a single bay. On the south side, there is a flush doorcase with a bracketed stone hood above, leading to a panelled door. To the north, there is an original boot scraper set into the wall below a pair of glazing bar sash windows, which are separated by a central square-sectioned mullion. Above these, centrally placed, is another glazing bar sash window in a flush surround, with a similar, smaller sash window located just below the eaves. This building is included for its group value only.
