Description
The Roman Bath House is a ruined structure dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed gritstone with gritstone dressings and is currently roofless, having formerly had a stone slate roof. The building is single storey and consists of two bays, each containing a single room; one room housed a bath while the other contained a fireplace. It is believed to have been built by Lord Denham, the owner of the nearby Stoney Middleton Hall. A tepid mineral spring is located to the west of the bath house.
