Description

No. 5 The Nook is a house built around 1800. It features a red brick construction topped with a Welsh slate roof and has brick stacks at both ends. The building has a moulded brick cornice and stands three storeys high, with three sash windows on the front: two 8/8 windows, one 6/6 window, and on the second floor, there are three smaller windows: two 4/4 and one 3/3. The lower floors have cambered lintels above the windows. The central entrance is framed by a wooden doorcase that includes fluted pilasters and a flat bracketed canopy, leading to a six-panelled door with an overlight above.
