Description

The Crown Inn Steak House, originally an inn, was built in the later 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with a Swithland slate roof, featuring a brick central ridge and brick end stacks. The building has brick coped and shouldered gables, a brick band running partially along the facade, and a moulded brick cornice that extends across the gables as a band. A gable on the left-hand side has a three-light centre-opening casement window on the upper floor, and two two-light casements to the right. On the ground floor, from left to right, is a single-light casement, a gabled porch, a doorway, and two two-light wooden mullion and transom windows. At the right-hand end, there are two single-light casements on both floors. A rear extension is also present.
