Description
The Thatch is a house built in 1752, with 19th century alterations and 20th century additions. It is constructed of brick that has been whitewashed, featuring thatched and plain tile roofs. The east front has a first floor band and cogged eaves, along with two rendered ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The east front includes an off-centre 20th century glazed door, which is flanked on the left by two two-light casements, all with segmental heads. To the left of the door, there is a brick inscribed with '1752'. Above, there are two cross eaves dormers, each with a two-light casement. To the right, there is a single storey mid-20th century addition that features a door and two casements. The rear elevation and a late 20th century wing have all 20th century windows. Inside, there are two chamfered span beams and a fireplace bressummer, all with ogee stops.
