Description
This is a house located at 17 Sharnford Road, dating from the mid-18th century, with 20th-century alterations and additions. The building is constructed of brick and is colourwashed, featuring both thatched and slate roofs. The front of the house has cogged eaves and a single rendered chimney stack, along with plain bargeboards.
The entrance features a 20th-century close boarded door, with a 20th-century three-light casement window to the left. To the right, there is a single-storey service building that includes a 20th-century two-light casement window. All of these openings have segmental heads. Above the main front, there are two swept dormers that contain 20th-century two-light casement windows.
On the south gable, there is a 20th-century two-light casement window to the right, and above it, to the left, there is a similar casement window, both with segmental heads. The 20th-century single-storey rear addition features two square gabled bay windows on the south side and a glazed door to the right.
