Description

South View Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the late 18th century, with 20th-century alterations and additions. It is constructed of brick with a plain tile roof, featuring a rubble and brick plinth, cogged eaves, two gable stacks, and a single ridge stack. The building stands two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a lower service end and a parallel rear addition.

On the south side, the right section has a three-bay front with a slightly off-centre gabled, slated, late 20th-century glazed porch that includes a bargeboard and a half-glazed door, flanked by two single three-light cross casements. Above, there are two similar casements, all featuring segmental heads. To the left, there is another similar 20th-century porch, followed by a flat-headed three-light cross casement. Above this, to the left, is a three-light cross casement with a segmental head. To the right, there is a late 20th-century garage with a close-boarded door and a three-light casement, both with segmental heads.

The rear elevation features a 20th-century lean-to porch with a half-glazed door on the left, and to the right, there are two 20th-century two-light cross casements, along with a small metal-framed casement. Above, there are two similar cross casements, all with segmental heads. The east gable includes a 20th-century garage on the left and a porch on the right with a two-light casement. The setback rear wing on the west gable has a small iron casement with patterned glazing bars above, and to its right, there is a 20th-century two-light casement.
