Description

This is an early 19th-century cast-iron milestone with a triangular shape, located at SP49069 93416. The milestone has a triangular base that is painted white. On the front, it displays the Royal Coat of Arms of Queen Victoria along with a maker’s plaque. The left side of the base is inscribed with "TO / LEICESTER / 10 / MILES," while the right side reads "TO / HINCKLEY / 4 / MILES."
