Description
The outbuilding north of Knutting Fields Farmhouse is a farm outbuilding that was originally a house, dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions from the 18th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone, featuring ashlar dressings, quoins, coped gables with plain kneelers, and has a roof covered with corrugated sheeting.
The north elevation is two storeys high and has three bays. There are three ground-floor window openings; two are from the 17th century, including a single-light opening and a two-light recessed chamfered mullioned window, both with moulded surrounds beneath drip moulds. The remaining opening at the west end has a plain surround on a 17th-century sill. The west gable end features three single-light openings with moulded surrounds beneath hood moulds, and there is a square opening without a frame at the gable apex.
