Description
This is a farm outbuilding dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble gritstone and features quoins, with a plain gable at the northwest end and a stone slated roof. The building stands two storeys high, having been raised in the 18th century.
On the ground floor, there are six doorways with cambered heads to the lintels, four of which are now partially blocked and converted into windows. These windows have glazing bar frames, with the lower sections pivoted. Between the doorways, there are four former two-light recessed chamfered mullioned windows, although the mullions have been removed. At the first floor level, there are two taking-in doors beneath plain lintels, along with several irregularly spaced ventilation slits.
