PARISH OF DALE ABBEY LOCKO ROAD SK 43 NW 5/22 (North Side) Ice House approximately 150 yards east of Locko Park II

Ice house converted into a folly. Early C19. Red brick. Gothick canted facade to south has a doorway under a wooden lintel and a panelled gothic door. On each of the canted sides is a pointed-arched alcove with projecting sill and hoodmould. Crenellated parapet rising to a gable in the centre. Short passage leading to a circular domed chamber, now filled in to ground level. A circular window and a chimney have been inserted.
