Description

Folly in Fishpond Wood is a late 18th-century structure built of red brick with stone dressings, designed in the Gothick style. It is an octagonal building featuring buttresses with offsets, likely inspired by a chapter house from around 1300. The folly has pointed openings on seven sides, while the eighth side has been infilled to create a fireplace. At the time of the last survey, the building was roofless, overgrown, and in a state of dereliction.
