Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of West End in Walkington. It is constructed of brown brick with a pantiled roof. The symmetrical front elevation has two storeys and three bays. The front door consists of six raised and fielded panels, topped by an overlight with glazing bars, set within a pilastered doorcase. It is flanked by two 16-pane sashes, each with a sill beneath a cambered lintel featuring a feathered keyblock. Above, the first floor has three matching sashes under similar lintels. The house has end stacks and raised, coped gables.
