Description
Killingwoldgraves is a house dating from around 1700, with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick that has been colour-washed and features a cast-tile roof. The building has two storeys with attics and presents a symmetrical elevation with five bays. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with an overlight, set within a pilastered surround. On either side of the door are four-pane sash windows with sills beneath flat gauged brick arches. The first floor also has five similar sash windows. A cogged brick eaves cornice runs along the top, and there are two roof dormers featuring two-light casements with glazing bars. The end stacks have bands and tumbled-in brick at the raised gables. Inside, there is a closed string stair with vase balusters, ball finials, and acorn pendants.
