Description
Manorhouse is a house that likely dates from the early 18th century and was remodeled and extended to the right in the late 18th or early 19th century. It is built of red brick with a pantiled roof. The original section has a centre-lobby entry plan and consists of two storeys and two bays. On the ground floor, there are two sashes with glazing bars and sills, which are set under gauged brick arches with fanned keyblocks. The first floor features two 9-pane unequal sashes with sills, also under gauged brick arches with projecting keyblocks. The house has a triple-stepped eaves cornice and a large axial stack with bands. The plain close verges have tumbled-in brick on shaped kneelers.
To the right is a later recessed extension that is also two storeys and two bays. The ground floor includes a 4-panel door with an overlight, set in panelled reveals under a flat gauged brick arch, with a fanned keyblock to the left. To the right, there is a 4-pane sash with a sill under a gauged brick arch. On the first floor, there is a 4-pane sash with a sill under a flat brick arch to the left. The extension has an end stack and plain close verges.
