Description
No. 44 on Main Street is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick and has a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features a symmetrical three-bay elevation. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century panelled door with an overlight, which is flanked on both sides by 16-pane sash windows, all of which are set under flat gauged brick arches. On the first floor, there are three similar sash windows. The house has a deep moulded brick eaves cornice, end stacks, and tumbled-in brickwork on the raised gables, which sit on shaped kneelers.
