PARISH OF HOLLINGTON BACK LANE (north side) Old Farmhouse at Lodge Farm

II Farmhouse, now outbuildings. C17 and C18. Brick and timber framing. Remains of thatched roof covered with corrugated iron. Brick coped gable with plain kneelers. Two brick gable stacks and remains of a brick ridge stack. Single storey plus attics. Originally a three room plan, extended to four rooms to east in C18. South elevation of four bays. Ground floor has a three-light casement window to left, then a doorway, a small rectangular window, a two-light window, a doorway and a three-light window. Three two-light eyebrow dormer windows above in C17 part. Wall plate exposed beneath them.

Inside is one cruck truss with tie beam and arched braces, and a stud partition. Inglenook with moulded bressumer at the junction of the C17 and C18 parts.
