Description

Churchfields Farmhouse is a late 18th-century brick farmhouse with a plain tile roof and brick ridge and gable stacks. It has a dentil eaves band. The south elevation, which has three bays, features a central doorway with a wooden surround and a shallow bracketed hood. The door has glazed panels above. On either side of the doorway are glazing bar sash windows set within segmentally headed surrounds. Three smaller, similar windows are above, with the left window positioned asymmetrically. The centre bay rises to a gable containing a 20th-century square window, replacing what was originally a shuttered loft opening. A lower bay is set back to the left. The north elevation includes a single-storey outhouse attached to the left and a two-storey wing to the right. A broad, projecting, semi-circular bay with a flat roof and a four-light casement window under a segmental head is central on the north side. A two-light window sits to the right. The first floor has a three-light window with a sliding sash, set under a segmental head, and a similar two-light window on each side.
