Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the early 18th century, which was restored around 1980. It is constructed of coursed rubble sandstone with ashlar dressings and features a thatched roof with a brick gable end and off-centre ridge stacks. The building is a single storey plus attics and consists of three bays.
The entrance is an off-centre 20th-century board door set beneath a flat rubble arch, flanked by 20th-century three-light flush mullion windows, with a similar two-light window to the left. Above the door, on the left side, is an eyebrow dormer with a two-light casement window. There is a similar window on the rear elevation and on the west gable wall. Inside, the property has exposed chamfered beams.
