Description
This is a milepost located on the south side of Wirksworth Road in Duffield, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape that rises to a back plate with a segmented top. The milepost is inscribed with the following information: "DUFFIELD/LONDON/13/MILES/WIRKSWH 8/MILES/DERBY/5/MILES/J HARRISON/DERBY".
