This is a mile post from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape with the upper part sloping to a back plate that has a curved top. The mile post is inscribed with the following information: "WINDLEY/LONDON/133/MILES/WIRKSWORTH/6/MILES/DERBY/7/MILES".
