Description
This is a mile post located on the west side of Wirksworth Road in the parish of Windley. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. The mile post has a triangular shape with an upper part that slopes back to a curved top plate. It is inscribed with the following information: "WINDLEY / LONDON / 132 / MILES / WIRKSWORTH / 7 / MILES / DERBY / 6 / MILES."
