Description

Farnah House is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on the south side of Wirksworth Road in Duffield. The building is constructed of red brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with two brick ridge stacks. It has a moulded eaves cornice and stands two storeys tall. The broad three-bay south elevation includes a central doorway with a pedimented Tuscan Doric doorcase. The entrance is comprised of half-glazed 19th-century double doors, which are flanked on either side by glazing bar sashes set beneath chanelled stone lintels with stepped keyblocks. Above, there are three smaller glazing sashes.
