Description
The Park is a small country house, now converted into nine flats, dating from the early 18th century and late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with one stone stack. The building has two and three storeys, with the north elevation consisting of four plus seven bays; the seven-bay section exhibits early 18th-century characteristics.
The central entrance has a Tuscan Doric porch with a cornice and an open balustrade, leading to double doors that are half glazed. These doors are flanked by three closely spaced glazing bar sash windows in moulded architraves on each side. Above, there are seven similar windows. The attic storey features a sill band, a plain cornice, and seven 19th-century sash windows. To the left of the entrance, there is a doorway with a moulded surround and a glazing bar sash window above in a plain surround. The three bays to the left are slightly advanced and have glazing bar sashes in plain surrounds on each floor.
The irregular three-bay west elevation includes an external chimney stack and a two-storey canted bay. The interior has been much altered.
