Description
The Mews is a house dating from the 18th century, which was refronted in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and red brick, featuring painted stone dressings. The roof is made of plain tiles and has brick gable stacks and stone coped gables without kneelers. The building has painted sill bands at the first and second floors, as well as an eaves band.
The house is three storeys high and has an L-plan layout, with a two-bay north elevation. The entrance features a round-arched doorway with a moulded stone arch and a 20th-century door. To the left of the entrance is a segmental carriage arch with a step moulding and double wooden doors. On the right side, there is a glazing bar sash window beneath a channelled stone lintel with a stepped keyblock. Above this, there are two similar windows and two smaller windows again above, all located under the eaves band.
