Description

This is a farm outbuilding dating from the mid-18th century, located to the north-west of Babington Farmhouse. It is constructed from regularly coursed squared gritstone with quoins and features plain gables, with roofs that are tiled and stone slated. The building consists of four bays; the north-west bay is single storey and open fronted, while the remaining bays are two storeys high.

On the north-east elevation, there are three ground floor doorways with quoined surrounds and flush plank doors. The outer two storey bays have flush mullioned windows with casements. A stone staircase leads to a central first floor doorway, which also has a quoined surround and a planked door. The building is listed for its group value with the adjacent farmhouse.
