Description
This is a farm outbuilding dating from the mid 19th century, located to the west of Rufford Farmhouse. It is constructed from coursed gritstone with ashlar dressings, featuring coped gables and a graduated slate roof. The gable faces the road but is not at right angles to the main body of the building.
The east elevation is a single storey with three bays. The two outer bays have quoined doorways, with the southern doorway accompanied by a window that has a shallow segmental arched head and a small-paned cast-iron window frame. The doors are plain planked. There is a quoined central double opening with plank doors. The gable facing the road includes a shallow arched cast-iron window frame with nine panes.
