Description

Lea Methodist Church is a non-conformist chapel built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone on a shallow plinth, featuring quoins and plain gables topped with a slated roof and crested clay ridge tiles. The building is single storey and consists of three bays, each bay containing a tall pointed window with cast iron window frames and Gothic glazing bars, set within plain stone surrounds. An entrance porch was added to the west end in 1956. Inside, the church retains its gallery and 19th-century pews.
