Description
The Farm is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed gritstone with quoins and features coped gables with moulded kneelers and gable end stacks, one made of ashlar and others of blue brick. The roofs are stone slated, with some areas repaired using plain tile. The house has an irregular "T" plan, with a lower bay added to the south end and a lower two-storey range at the rear.
The east elevation consists of a three-bay range that is three storeys high, featuring stacked 2-light flush mullioned windows on either side of a central doorway, which is now enclosed by a 20th-century lean-to porch made of glass and timber. Above the doorway are stacked single-light openings with flush surrounds. The windows are sash style with single glazing bars, some fixed lights, and a few 20th-century replacements. The lower end bay includes a stairway leading to a first-floor doorway in the gable.
