Description

This boundary post, located at Ashbourne Road in the parish of Mackworth, dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape with a sloping upper section that rises to a back plate featuring a curved top. The post is inscribed with the following text: "COUNTY OF DERBY PARISH BOUNDARY MACKWORTH PARISH LANGLEY PARISH S HAYWOOD JUNR PHOENIX FOUNDRY DERBY."
