Description

SEATON MAIN STREET SP 9098-9198 10/130 No 15. GV II

House. Late C18. Coursed ironstone rubble with limestone quoins; steeply pitched slate roof, brick chimneys to gables and centre. 2 storeys, 4 bays. Left bays have 5-pane sashes to ground floor, and old 3-light casements, the lower wooden with central shutter, the upper with leaded outer lights. C20 3-light metal casement to ground floor of right bay. All ground floor openings have wooden lintels. Rear has 3 bays of 2-light wooden casements, and double flush panelled doors in second bay. Lean-to porch with shaped wooden frieze. Range of C19 outbuildings attached at angle to right bay is not of special interest. Interior has old winder stair.
