Description
SEATON MOLES LANE SP 9098-9198 10/136 10.11.55 The Ridings. GV II
House. E wing originally C17 but much altered C20; C19 single storey extension at N end; large early C19 block to W. Coursed limestone rubble with limestone and ironstone quoins; Collyweston slate roof to C17 wing; C19 W block re-roofed with C20 tiles, retaining coped gables and flanking ashlar chimneys. T-plan. C17 wing is of 2 storeys and has gabled projection to S. C20 barred wooden casements and French doors. Only surviving C17 features are a blocked 2-light window with ovolo-moulded mullion in E wall, and a blocked chamfered single light in W wall. Early C19 block is of 2 storeys and an attic, and 3 bays. S front has barred wooden casements with wooden lintels, 3-light flanking 2-light, the lower left window altered C20. Attic windows are in hipped dormers. Central half-glazed door. Rear, to N has similar irregular windows and central door.
