Description
No. 20 Main Street is a house dating from the early 18th century, with a slightly later bay to the left. It features 20th-century windows and is built from coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof. There are brick chimneys on the right gable and flanking the entry passage between the left bays. The house is one storey and has an attic, comprising four bays. The ground floor has paired barred wooden casements with wooden lintels, while the upper windows are set into the thatch. There is a single light window in the ground floor of the third bay and a wide 20th-century board door situated between the left bays. At the rear of the right bay, there is a range of outbuildings that have been incorporated into the house. Inside, there is a large fireplace with a cambered chamfered lintel that backs onto the passage.
