Description

This building, located at 23 Warser Gate in Nottingham, is an embroidery factory dating from about 1900. It was later converted to offices around 1985. The construction is primarily red brick, with an ashlar stone ground floor, ashlar dressings, and a slate mansard roof featuring coped gables. The detailing includes a plinth, a ground floor cornice, ashlar bands, and a modillion eaves cornice. The windows are largely segment-arched sashes with brick arches and double keystones. The building is three stories high, with a basement and attics, and has a six-window range. The rusticated ground floor features four windows in the centre, with basement openings below. To the left is a door and overlight, and to the right, a round-arched doorway with voussoirs, a keystone, a hood on brackets, a panelled door, and a fanlight. The upper floors exhibit regular fenestration. The attics contain three large box dormers with two double-glazed bar casements.
