Description

This mid-19th century warehouse, now offices, is located in Nottingham. It is constructed of red brick with a stucco basement, and has ashlar stone dressings, all currently painted. The building has a quoined corner detailing, a cornice at ground floor level, a horizontal band marking the first floor, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course at the top. The windows are plain sashes, with the upper floor windows featuring shaped wedge lintels. The building rises two storeys plus a basement, and has a 4:3 window arrangement. It is composed of two blocks, with the left block set slightly back from the right. The left block features two sash windows in decorative surrounds, followed by a small blank space, and then a cart entrance with a segmented arch and iron gates. Above the entrance are four sash windows on each floor. The right block has a central sash window flanked by segment-headed doorways with fanlights. Above the doorways, there are three sash windows on each floor. The building is included on the list primarily for its contribution to the surrounding group of buildings.
