Description

This is a house, later used as offices, dating from the early 18th century. It has been altered in the early and mid-19th century and the 20th century. The exterior is roughcast with colourwashing, featuring painted ashlar dressings. The roof is tiled, with a single coped gable and a gable stack, and a wooden eaves cornice. A plinth runs along the base. The building is three storeys high and has a three-window front. It has a double-range plan. Most of the windows are 20th-century casements. The central door is set within a round-arched doorcase with a keystone and a plain fanlight; the door itself is new. Windows on either side have moulded surrounds and lintels. Above these are a pair of windows flanked by single, larger windows, set on a sill band. Above that again are three windows, the leftmost of which is a tripartite sash window. A double gabled return is visible on the right side, facing Byard Lane.
