Description
Urquhart House, formerly known as Nos. 3 and 5 and St Mary's Buildings, is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the late 18th century and underwent alterations in the 19th century, with restoration completed in 1991. The building is constructed of brick with a rendered finish and features a slate roof. It has a plinth and sill bands and stands two storeys tall with attics, displaying a five-window range. The joinery has all been renewed. The central entrance consists of a panelled double door with an overlight above, flanked by a single casement window. On either side of the entrance, there are two-storey canted wooden bay windows, each with a 24-pane sash window on both floors. To the left, there is a narrow single casement window on each floor, while to the right, there is a cart entrance with a two-light casement window above it. Above the cart entrance, there are two gabled dormers.
