Description
31 and 33 Warser Gate is a warehouse, now used as offices, built in 1909 by WD Pratt of Nottingham for AH Bradbury. The building is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features a slate mansard roof with coped gables and a coped gable stack. The brick eaves are prominent, and the bays are separated by pilasters that are panelled on the upper floors, topped with terracotta cartouches. The windows are plain sashes. The building has three storeys plus a basement and attics, with a total of seven windows arranged in the pattern of 1:2:2:2.
On the ground floor, to the left, there is a large round-arched doorcase in the Baroque Revival style, which includes a hood, voussoirs, and a figurative keystone. This doorcase features panelled part-glazed double doors and a fanlight. To the right of the doorcase, there are three pairs of sashes. Above this, on the first floor, there is a single sash window to the left and three pairs of sashes to the right, all adorned with elongated keystones. The attics include two box dormers on the left, with one and two sashes, and two recessed dormers on the right, each with two lights.
