Description

28 and 30 Carlton Street are two houses that have been converted into offices. They were built in the mid-18th century and were altered and restored in the late 20th century. The buildings are made of red brick with ashlar dressings and feature a renewed steep pitched slate roof with brick coped gables and two rebuilt gable stacks. The wooden eaves cornice has been renewed. The structures are three storeys high and have a five-window range. Most of the windows are original glazing bar sashes with brick flat arches. The central bay is recessed and has a segmental head with a single window on each floor. The ground floor features a continuous late 20th-century shopfront.
